As the United Nations General Assembly (UGA) gathered the significant voices of global civil society – including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Hague – on Thursday, gathered to encourage the international community to face the continuous violations of Israel.
Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Calmard presented a recently published report by the organization, which is appointed to the Israeli genocide in Gaza and the prolonged Palestinian occupation – including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Palantir Technologies and HD Hyundai.
He stated that Amnesty is following a path whose numerous organizations have previously stabilized with the aim of targeting “global political economy of oppression”.
“We have to stop the global political economy that maintains Israeli crimes,” Callamard told Eye, the nearby East.
Callamard urged civil society to mobilize companies, cities and universities from their “profit dependence”, which he said was “genocide, occupation, apartheid”.
“We have to name them. We have to be ashamed of them, and we must take action.”

Callamard spoke to the UGA panel organized by the Arab Foundation forum, where representatives of four largest NGOs condemned Israel’s failure to end the 12-month period to end the Palestinian occupation.
On 18 September 2024, the UNGA approved a resolution that Israel withdrew from the occupied area and to all states to take effective action against infringements of Israel International Law, including liability, sanctions and termination within one year, fully implementing the Judicial Court of the South Africa.
Each non -governmental organization outlined the occupation of Israel to document and emphasize continuous campaigns to mobilize activities and responsibility.
We have to disturb and we must change. “

Go beyond words
In addition to urging Member States to boycott companies that have ties with Israeli Palestinian oppression, Calmard repeated the panel’s demand for the international community to offer more.
“Yes, they have been very good at making strong statements. Where in the hell are the deals on.
He emphasized Palestine is not only a Western issue, but global.
Callamard said it was appropriate that much of the concentration should be in the United States and Europe, given their ties to Israel, but he added that the Arab world, Latin America and Asia also play a role.
“We all face a true existentialist crisis, an international right that combined us, not completely, not completely, but for 80 years. Over the past 24 months and possibly before that we have seen a real U-turn. So it is much more than united nations.”
Varsha Gandikota-Neutla, Secretary-General of the Hague Group, admitted in the same way that the last two years have shown how current multilateral and legal institutions “could not” be enough to end the genocide “.
The only solution, according to him, is the merger of all UN members together, such as the Hague group, which is a group of states that are committed to “coordinating legal and diplomatic measures” in defending international law and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
“It seems that we have a stagnation in the collection of definitions and evidence, which collects continuous, similar legal clarity issues when the missing missing is not lacking in legal clarity – but simply absolute, it is the lack of courage,” Gandikota said. “How do we get courage? (It) comes from collective action.”
So far, nine countries are in a group that is scheduled to perform for the first time in the UNGA on Monday.
