The second of the Azpeitia fair changed the script radically with respect to the previous day. The bulls of Santa Coloma in Ana Romero’s encaste came out and none had to arrive with the ears to the Desoldero. They always offered the triumph to a list that was missing an opportunity to be relaunched from a fair that has the attention of the bull world these days.
And it is that the bullfighters, the three, arrived in Azpeitia with the conviction that they were going to deal with the complications that illuminate these bulls, but they found a good confinement of Ana Romero, collaborator, noble and with transmission and that always went to more. He highlighted an excellent fifth that neither knew how to be understood in this case by Damián Castaño.
Both Morenito de Aranda and Salamanca dealt with their first two bulls as if they were the hard runs in which they are usually announced. Thus, without trusting, without crossing and without standing, it is almost impossible to convince the Cárdenos that Lucas Carrasco breeds, who only lacked a little more strength to be used in the first third.
The Burgos faced a first, just forces and presence, with too much mismatch; Despite this, he went around the ring after a slight petition as an ear. In the room he realized that there were reasons to use more, but it was already late; The task went to more and the best came in some helped that put a brooch to a work awarded with an appendix.
Salamanca, meanwhile, was distrustful, perhaps conditioned by his recent caught in Mont de Marsan, but was precipitated and without tempering any of the two good copies in front of him. Castaño saw how the good fifth ended up imposing himself in a dried task to which he put an erratic closure and distrustful with the steels.
Molina also opted for a precautionary role. The good third alternated crutches stumbled upon with a handful of natural tempereds with the low hand, but without continuity. In the sixth, a specimen of spectacular fur, Cárdeno Alunarado, who came with joy from afar, opted to reduce the distances and ended up drowning his onslaught. Just a sensational lunge earned him an ear.
The run, except in Varas, had the taste of Azpeitia; With brave bulls and that careful festive atmosphere, crowned with the solemnity of the Zortziko of Aldalur, at the death of the third bull, in memory of the 19th century banderillero José Ventura Laka.
The disappointment among fans was reflected in the lost opportunity to see a vibrant and class run that passed without penalty or glory for the poor bet of the bullfighters.
