Thanks to the “Smartphone Photography of Architecture and Spaces” workshop, it will be demonstrated that architecture and photography have always gone hand in hand.
Taught by Fer Gómez, a fan of street and architectural photography, participants will learn how to get the most out of their smartphone, regardless of the brand or model.
The workshop is divided into two parts:
- Theoretical part: A brief historical overview of architectural photography will be given, and the technical and semi-automatic aspects necessary to take photographs correctly will be explained. In addition, participants’ smartphones will be analyzed individually to locate the settings and teach them how to modify them.
- Practical part: In this section, attendees will apply everything they have learned in the different interior and exterior spaces of the La Térmica building.
Finally, in the last section of the workshopyou will delve into the different applications available to retouch photographs, learning how to eliminate objects, control perspective and adjust light.
Necessary material: Participants must bring their smartphone with the battery at 100% charge and the charger, in case it is necessary. In addition, they will be provided with material to take notes.
Once the workshop is over, the presentation in PDF format will be sent to each student.
Fer Gómez (Málaga, 1986) combines his work as a professional photographer specialized in architecture with teaching, a field in which he has extensive experience teaching photography in master’s degrees, courses and workshops with different entities and centers, mainly at the Apertura photography school.
