Hello! I am María Lechuga, illustrator and creativity teacher for children.

Since 2020 I have enjoyed teaching drawing and painting workshops for children with artistic interests. I believe in play and art as a vehicle to develop our creativity, curiosity and interest in our environment and I try to transmit this to my students through artistic practice.

What will we learn during the course?

During the course we will work on different artistic disciplines and their relationship with the plastic arts, such as, for example, sculpture, photography, film, literature or music.

Through experimentation and discovery of new artistic techniques, we will learn to express and regulate our emotions, unlock our fear of failure, and learn to solve problems creatively.

Who is the course aimed at?

The course is aimed at the primary educational stage (6-12 years) and classes are taught from the month of October to the month of June, both included, in sessions of 1 hour per week. Each group is organized according to age (group 1 from 6 to 8 years; group 2 from 9 to 12 years), with a maximum of 10 students per class.

The project aims to create a safe space of freedom and respect where each child can express themselves without fear, share their interests and hobbies, create healthy bonds of friendship and feel part of a group.

The materials, utensils and supports that we will use in each session are included in the monthly price of the classes.

María Lafuente Lechuga (Madrid, 1993) is an illustrator, musician and teacher. Graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the UMA, she has also studied music, painting and theater at the RESAD in Madrid. Since 2020 she has worked as a creativity teacher for children, regularly collaborating with the MaF, the Moments Festival and the Ateneo de Málaga.
