Robe Iniesta (Plasencia, Cáceres, 62 years old) has canceled the farewell concerts of his current tour, scheduled this weekend at the WiZink Center in Madrid (Friday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m.) after “being diagnosed with pulmonary thromboembolism,” according to a statement from the group. The musician “must rest completely, putting his health at serious risk otherwise,” the note justifies in response to the suspension just a few hours before the first of the concerts.
“We are dejected for not being able to finish this wonderful tour as we had planned, but we are not going to put Robe’s health at risk for anything in the world,” indicates the Extremaduran artist’s press office. All the tickets to the Madrid pavilion were sold: 15,000 per day.
The statement, made through the group’s official channels, indicates that tickets will be automatically refunded starting next week. These concerts were the closing of the tour Neither saints nor innocents, which began in May with practically full houses at every stop.
Robe’s entourage has expressed their regret for not being able to complete this final stretch, although they have stressed that the absolute priority is the artist’s recovery. Pulmonary thromboembolism is a serious condition that occurs when a clot blocks an artery in the lungs, making it difficult for blood to circulate and oxygenate. Robe is receiving treatment and his condition is expected to improve in the coming days.

On the current tour he was performing this album almost in its entirety and some songs from his three previous works. In addition, he interspersed some songs by Extremoduro, the band with which he became known at the end of the eighties. This was going to be the second time to see Robe on this tour in the Community of Madrid, since last May he filled the Miguel Ríos Auditorium in Rivas Vaciamadrid with 30,000 people.
