Telesur director calls for Gigabyte Society – the right time

MIAMI – Telesur director Mike Antonius, as chairman of Canton, has demanded unity and cooperation to create a Gigabyte Society in the Caribbean by 2030. Commitment overcomes challenges and ensures that no one remains tied to each other. It promised to work to quickly restore communication and connectivity after disasters.

Anthony is clear”a call to action” was addressed to industry managers, decision-makers and all stakeholders. He noted that there is a need to connect not only the Caribbean’s digital challenges but also the opportunities to respond.

The Telesur director stated that the high attendance of Canton’s 39th annual conference and expo reflects the commitment and ambition of participants to drive the digital revolution in ICT and telecommunications in the region. The Minister of Transport, Telecommunications and Tourism Uraiqit Ramsaran was also in Miami. According to Telesur, this is proof of the government’s commitment to the development of a sustainable digital economy and digital inclusion for all.
