Joaquín Sabina announced today, Thursday, that the tour will start in February 2025 Hello and goodbyewith which he plans to say goodbye “to the multitudinous stages,” according to a statement issued on the artist’s official account on the social network Instagram. The series of concerts is scheduled to tour America for 11 weeks, before moving on to Europe and Spain and ending in November. “The dates, cities and ticket sales will be announced in July for America and September for Europe,” the same note adds.
The 75-year-old musician thus answers all the questions that began to surround him since he himself posted the enigmatic message on social networks a few days ago: “Coming soon,” on a black background. Sabina will thus return to a format similar to the one that has given him so much satisfaction during five decades of career and, more specifically, in his last tour musical, in 2023: throughout that year the tour Against all odds managed to gather 700,000 spectators in 60 concerts.
“Joaquín Sabina’s recent tour was, against all odds, the most resounding of his long career,” begins the message published today on Instagram. And it promises “one last emotional knockout and a score of songs that are already universal prayers of the impossible dream of love and the desire to get your hands on life.”
Although he anticipates that after this Hello and goodbye —which comes from the lyrics of the song 19 days and 500 nights— “There will be no more endless journeys through crowded venues,” the artist keeps up his sleeve “the ace of reappearing at will, either because the muses whisper poems or songs worth sharing, or because he gets the urge to get up on any stage to pay tribute to himself, to us.”
