Through this dance course taught by Málaga Swing, those interested will learn to dance Lindy Hop. To participate, registration as a couple is not necessary. Lindy Hop is a dance style that is included in the swing music family. This modality gained greater popularity during the 30s and 40s of the last century in the United States and is characterized by being a rhythmic, fun and dynamic dance.

This activity is intended for those people over 18 years of age who want to learn or improve this type of dance. Although extraordinary physical condition is not required, it is appropriate to be in shape. It is not necessary for students to know how to dance any other style or to have previous experience, there are groups from initiation. To this end, sessions have been organized with different levels, ranging from zero to intermediate level.

Choose the schedule and grade that best suits you! This course lasts three months and classes will be held once a week at the times you see above.

In the event that the interested person does not have a dance partner, the organization will put them in contact with a person in the same circumstances. In Lindy Hop there are two roles: leader (the person who usually takes the initiative when marking steps) and follower.

Traditionally, in couple dances the role of leader has been assigned to the man and the role of follower to the woman. From Málaga Swing, however, we want to blur these differences and offer all those registered to learn both roles. In this way, the options to dance and enjoy music multiply.

Taught by Málaga Swing. Local group of dancers whose training includes teachers Ana and Miguel, who since November 2014 have been promoting the swing scene in Malaga. Through its inclusive methodology it allows all people to enjoy this dance and thus become another cultural alternative in Malaga.
