Friday, November 8, 2024 | 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

On November 8, La Térmica will celebrate its fifth RED Friday of the year, one of the most established and emblematic events of the Malaga Provincial Council’s contemporary culture centre. In this new phase, the format is shifting towards a meeting of live arts, with more music, theatre, dance and performance, with design and fashion in a dynamic and diverse programme of six uninterrupted hours.

The aim is to offer an immersive art experience. It is also worth highlighting the charitable nature of this new stage, which is why the tickets will go to five NGOs: the association for the defence of care for anorexia nervosa and bulimia Adaner, the association for the inclusion of people with Down syndrome, Down Málaga, AVOI, the association of volunteers for childhood cancer, the animal shelter Galgos en Familia and the cultural association of Málaga Irreconciliables.

18:00 – Doors open.

18:00 – 22:00 / RED Fashion

The RED FASHION Capsule is a project in collaboration with Malaga Fashion conceived to showcase the creation and experimentation of Malaga talents in this sector. The RED FASHION capsule is presented as an extrasensory immersion that explores the connection between fashion, art and the contemporary through creativity.

The creations of the following designers will be on display: Ana Lanas, Nakerando Kalé, Kimonada, Inma de la Riva, Marinetto Designs, Firenze Team and Julieta Brand. We will have the artist Aintzane Cruceta who, through Pop Surrealism, creates works that mix the sweet and the disturbing with the atmosphere of the dream world. She will exhibit a representation of her works and perform live for everyone’s delight.

The customisation of the looks will be carried out through a textile customisation corner where attendees will be offered the opportunity to personalise their clothes and trainers. The artist DEI will be present to customise clothes live, including jeans and Converse-style trainers. DJ Foreverness will perform live, creating a magical and special atmosphere. As a final touch, the capsule offers an unforgettable souvenir, a photograph with a RED FASHION magazine cover. Attendees will be able to take a photo inside the cover and take home a souvenir photograph.

19:00 – 19:30 / Performance “Why are you leaving?” With Mireia Pascual. Room 002

“Por qué te vas” is an internal struggle to get rid of pain and assimilate loss. In a combination of stage actions, the protagonist will fight with her body and her farewells in a visual and visceral proposal. Jeanette and her song “Por qué te vas” will be the gateway to the beginning of the race after the white rabbit.

20:00 – 20:30 / Performance «She was» by Angelo Nestor and the collaboration of Alex Castilla

Performance, words and music merge in a proposal about death, romanticism and transformation. When I die, will I be a tree? Will I be a cat? A reflection on the abandonment of life, searching for other lives, playing with the earth, the root, the seed, the sprouting after dying.

20:00 – 21:00 / Laguna Goons / Patio del Tiempo Stage

Laguna Goons is a musical family made up of four foreigners (originally from Holland, England and Argentina) based in Malaga but settled in Bilbao, and an enigmatic Basque who operates from the shadows and behind the scenes, together they represent an amalgam of talent, diversity and passion. A group of 20-year-olds who decided to focus on music after surviving a car accident that could have been tragic. Since then they have brought the same urgency and spontaneity to their music as to their lives. Garage rock nerve, impactful kicks, unforgettable riffs and catchy vocals in both English and Spanish that demonstrate the diversity of their backgrounds.

20:30 – 21:30 / Faena / Cervezas Victoria Stage.

Here is the corrected text with Spanish quotation marks: Faenna’s recent emergence on the music scene, especially within the field of Spanish-language rap, emerges with its own light as a prominent chapter. In 2023, her presence has resonated strongly, leaving an indelible mark with her EP “Espabilá”, other solo songs and collaborations that have catapulted her as one of the breakout artists of the year. Thus, some critics have highlighted her as “a breath of fresh air in the Spanish rap scene.”

21:00 – 21:30 / Performance “Busca” by Lula Amir.

This action is about the search for the pleasure of living in small things; reasons and joys to give meaning to life with a textual, visual, textile and physical proposal that reaffirms us that we must continue. Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a nice, well-preserved body, but rather skidding in sideways in a cloud of smoke, completely worn out and shattered, and loudly proclaiming, “Wow! What a ride!” Hunter S. Thompson

21:00 – 22:00 / Michael Foster / Patio del Tiempo Stage

Michael Foster, of British and Spanish origin, is a singer and songwriter based in Madrid. His sound is the result of his wide range of references, from Folk to Anglo-Saxon Pop and Rock. In his songs there are elements of these genres that reflect the personality of his music, marked above all by his distinguished voice. After his first releases achieving more than a million streams, including “Gravedad” with 760K and having sold out two shows in Madrid, he released his single “La Noche Contigo” with 243K listens on Spotify, he is currently about to release his first EP, having released the first preview “Dispara”. Preparing medium-term projects and with a clear strategy, Michael Foster undoubtedly comes to stand out and make noise on the national and Latin American scene.

21:30 – 22:30 / Enry-K / Victoria Beers Stage.

Enry-K is and has been one of the most relevant producers in the Spanish scene, but for some time now his figure as a total artist has been much longer than his shadow as a producer. After Luz Rosa and BRIO!, Enry-K presents DOT., his second album and a new hit on the table within the urban scene in Spain. The album has the best of his two previous works: the magic and good vibes of Luz Rosa, and the grit and bars of BRIO! But Enry does not come alone, but rather allies himself with different artists from the scene to complement each other and get the most out of his songs, including Cruz Cafuné or Cráneo, among many others.

22:30 – 23:55 / Rodama Dj set / Victoria Beers Stage

Straight from Colombia and with the tropics in his genes, Rodama lands in the Malaga night to make you perrear until the floor. Born and raised in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, a city full of colors, flavors and stimuli of all kinds, Rodama is influenced by Caribbean rhythms such as salsa, champeta, merengue, cumbia and vallenato. Inspired by local artists who have been creating music for years, he has forged a unique style that reflects the rich musical traditions of his land. His sessions, based on Afrobeat, Dembow and baile funk, promise to transform your ideas of night and fun with a 180-degree turn. He has brought his contagious energy to places such as Recreo, Fiebre Club, Pikoteo and La Casa Invisible among others, becoming a reference in the night scene.

22:00 – 23:55 / Delaschuches / Patio del Tiempo Stage.

DELASCHUCHES, a multidisciplinary artist from Granada. As a DJ he has played in spaces such as Industrial Copera, Sala Sol, Sala Sirocco, Sala Independance, The Club, Sala Planta Baja or in some caves and flamenco tablaos at the ‘Roneo Funk Club’ parties. On a musical level he is the possible link between the most refined French house, Russian hard bass and the worst flamenco edits on soundcloud. Pure fun for your ears.
