Featured performances include classics such as ‘Sing, Sing, Sing!’, ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ and ‘In the Mood’, which serve as a window into understanding the musical influences that have shaped this genre. From the African and spiritual rhythms in the cotton fields to the Dixieland of New Orleans, the Latin rhythms of Cuban son and the unforgettable soundtracks of Hollywood, the musical journey will encompass the most significant milestones of jazz.
Under the direction of Tete Leal, musician, composer and founder of ELCAMM, this show seeks to bring the rich history of jazz to audiences of all ages, promoting a dynamic and interactive appreciation. With the participation of a Gospel Vocal Choir, a Mini Big Band, a narrator and several actors, the presentation aims to encourage respect and enjoyment of live music. An event that celebrates the greatness and diversity of jazz.
