King Harald of Norway will receive a permanent pacemaker on Tuesday. The matter was reported by the Norwegian court. The procedure takes place at Rikshospitalet in Oslo. “After this, the king will remain in the hospital for a few more days,” the court said.

The court announced at the beginning of March that Harald needs a permanent pacemaker due to a low heart rate caused by an infection.

Harald was recently fitted with a temporary pacemaker after being hospitalized in Malaysia where he contracted an infection. As a result, Harald had to stay in the hospital for several days.
