That’s not to say that 90 minutes of cabaret can fix the world, but it’s not just about pure escapism either, says Meow Meow. Singing live, across languages, genre and history, is her way to bridge gaps.“I’m putting a lot of pressure on myself for these shows in London,” she says. “I haven’t been back for quite a few years, and I really just want to hug everybody and say, are you all right? I want a really fast, intense connection and music’s the way to do it.”
