Galilei Kids, through Habilitas Educación, promotes this quarterly course focused on biodiversity and the need for its conservation. The goal will be to raise students’ awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and explore innovative ways to use technology to help in this task.

«Exploration and conservation of biodiversity through autonomous robots» aims to explain how robots can perform tasks in difficult or dangerous environments for humans, collect valuable data and help in the conservation of species. Habilitas Educación workshops are 100% active.

Students will be guided in the process of designing and building robots using the most innovative materials on the market. Robots must be able to move autonomously, collect environmental data and perform specific actions, such as planting seeds or collecting water samples.

For all this, the LEGO Education robot boxes will be used, but not only that, there will be much more!! We will work with BEEBOTS, with MBOTS based on Arduino boards, 3D printers will be used to design and manufacture parts, MICRO:BIT boards, Machine Learning for Kids (the best international artificial intelligence learning project for minors), Microsoft Makecode ARCADE to develop small video games and much more.

Jose Antonio Domingo He is a Higher Industrial Engineer from the University of Seville. With 20 years of experience in industrial robotics, he is a founding partner of Habilitas Educación and a partner originally certified by LEGO Education in the province of Malaga. His professional career is based on the area of industrial operations and, specifically, on manufacturing processes and their re-engineering and continuous improvement. Passionate about innovative training, one of his goals is to help girls and boys have the space and opportunity to work on skills that will help them adapt and develop as people in a changing environment.
