Hello! I am María Lechuga, illustrator and creativity teacher for boys and girls.

Since 2020 I have enjoyed teaching drawing and painting workshops for children with artistic interests. I believe in play and art as a vehicle to develop creativity, curiosity and interest in the environment and I try to transmit this to my students through artistic practice.

To do this, I structure my classes around a practical history of painting. A didactic program that covers the different stages of Art History through artistic activities and experiments.

What will we learn during the course?

I will teach participants to differentiate different pictorial currents, to use different artistic techniques and to express and regulate emotions through art. The fear of failure will be unlocked and we will learn to solve problems in a creative way. The development of multiple intelligences and a love of knowledge will also be encouraged.

Who is the course aimed at?

The course is aimed at the primary educational stage (6-12 years) and classes will be taught from October to June, both included, in sessions of one hour a week. Two groups organized according to age have been established, establishing a maximum of 10 students per class.

  • From 6 to 8 years: From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • From 9 to 12 years: From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The course is aimed at boys and girls between 6 and 12 years old who want to develop their creativity, explore their imagination and learn different artistic techniques.

The project aims to create a safe space of freedom and respect where each child can express themselves without fear, share their interests and hobbies, create healthy bonds of friendship and feel part of a group.

Throughout the course, different techniques will be put into practice such as collage, stamping, transfers, monotypes, false engravings or collage and sculpture or fanzine will be worked on, along with other supports.

The materials, utensils and supports that will be used in each session are included in the monthly price of the classes.
