A cast of 14 men portray soldiers on the Western Front, who laid down their weapons to celebrate Christmas across enemy lines. Based on first-hand accounts of soldiers who lived it, for 48 hours to more than a week on some battlefronts, soldiers on all sides declared a truce and ate and drank together, played soccer and sang carols.

“This is a true story of a moment in time where men put aside their differences and chose to celebrate as one with song, food and good spirit,” Michael Capasso, general director of New York City Opera said. “In addition, the show is filled with famous Christmas carols arranged for male voices acapella.”
